Braving inclement weather and bone-chilling cold, huge participation was recorded in the 75th Republic Day celebration in Bhaderwah on Friday.
All Govt offices also hoisted the National Flag in their respective premises.
The main function of Republic Day 2024 celebration was held at New Bus Stand Kotli Bhadarwah, where ADC Bhadarwah Dil Mir Choudhary was the chief guest, while Tehsildar Bhaderwah Umar Jahanzeb presided over the function.
SP Bhaderwah Vinod Sharma,CO 4RR Yogesh Chouhan, SP Jail Mushtaq Ahmed Malla, DFO Bhaderwah Chander Shakhar, SDPO Bhaderwah Wasim Hamdani, BMO Bhaderwah Mohd Ashraf Kuchay, AEE R&B Mushtaq Ahmed and BDO Anoop Sharma were the special guests. SHO Bhaderwah Amrit Katoch was also present on the occasion.
Educationists Abdul Haq and Sajid Sarmadi along with Reenu Sharma conducted proceedings of the event as anchors.
ADC Bhaderwah Dilmir Chowdhary hoisted the Tricolour and took salute from the march past squads, in which JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and civil squads participated. A cultural program was also presented by school children depicting rich culture and tradition of Jammu and Kashmir. Beside cultural items dedicated to Army and freedom fighters were also presented. The celebrations to mark the Republic Day commenced with singing of the National Anthem by the school children and unfurling of the national flag by the chief guest. While congratulating on the eve of Republic Day, ADC Bhadarwah Dil Mir Choudhary said “we are celebrating our 75th Republic Day but we should remember the freedom fighters who sacrifice their lives for our nation and beside we should be thankful to those who gave us this unique Constitution.”
On the occasion, many officers, officials were felicitated by the administration for their work and contribution.
Elaborate and tight security arrangements were put in place by the Administration.
Meanwhile celebrations also took place at Bhaderwah Campus and Aakashwani Kendra Bhaderwah.
