Jammu, Jan 5: A Village Defence Guard (VDG) was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances with a gunshot injury on Friday in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The deceased, identified as Balwant Singh from Kharangal, Gandoh, was found under unexplained circumstances, with his .303 rifle also located at the scene, as reported by the police. Authorities have transferred the body to the hospital, and an investigation has been initiated after registering a case. (Agencies)
