NEW DELHI, Dec 25: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, engaged in discussions with leaders from various states to deliberate on poll preparations, is set to convene a meeting with leaders from Jammu and Kashmir at the party headquarters to strategize for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
As per party sources, Kharge, who has conducted separate meetings with leaders from 24 states, alongside former party chief Rahul Gandhi and other key figures, is scheduled to meet with Jammu and Kashmir leaders on Tuesday. The presence of Rahul Gandhi, along with other senior and state leaders, is anticipated during the meeting.
The agenda for discussions will include an assessment of poll preparedness and the prevailing sentiments in Jammu and Kashmir following the recent passage of two Bills during the Parliament’s Winter Session. Additionally, the party leaders are expected to explore prospects for an alliance with the National Conference and the PDP in Jammu and Kashmir.
