Weeklong FDP workshop on ‘Machine Learning with Special Emphasis on Electroencephalography, Document, and Sign Gestures Analysis’ begins at Bhaderwah Campus

Bhaderwah, Dec 19:- With an aim to foster a deeper understanding of machine learning concepts and their real-world application, weeklong Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on “Machine Learning, Theory, and Application with a Special Focus on Electroencephalography, Document, and Sign Gestures Analysis” is being organized by the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, which commanced here today.

The FDP will be held from today till December 23rd, 2023.

The esteemed resource person for this FDP is Dr. Rajkumar Saini from Lulea University of Technology, Sweden, an expert in the field. Dr. Saini will contribute his wealth of knowledge to enrich the participants’ understanding of machine learning theories and applications, with a specific emphasis on Electroencephalography (EEG), document analysis, and sign gestures analysis.

The chief guest for the occasion was Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh (IAS), who addressed the august gathering. His presence added significance to the event and highlighted the collaboration between academia and administration.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector of Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, who delivered a formal address. Prof. Gupta extended his best wishes to the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, with special regards to Dr. Jatinder Manhas, Head of the Department. “Dr. Manhas is the convenor of this weeklong FDP and played a key role in organizing the event,”

During the inaugural session, Dr. Jatinder Manhas presented the objectives of the workshop, emphasizing the importance of machine learning in the context of Electroencephalography, document analysis, and sign gestures analysis.

Dr. Rajkumar Saini, the distinguished resource person, delivered a detailed lecture covering the intricacies of machine learning theories and applications, with a specific focus on Electroencephalography, document analysis, and sign gestures analysis. His expertise and insights are expected to provide a valuable learning experience for the participants.

The weeklong FDP aims to foster a deeper understanding of machine learning concepts and their real-world applications, particularly in the domains of Electroencephalography, document analysis, and sign gestures analysis.
