New Delhi : Addressing the media on Saturday in response to exit poll results, Union Minister Anurag Thakur asserted that the people of Rajasthan would soon be liberated from the Congress government and its alleged corruption. Thakur emphasized that the wait for the residents of Rajasthan would soon be over, predicting an end to what he termed as “anarchy and corruption” under the Congress regime. He expressed gratitude to the people of Rajasthan for their support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Responding to Congress’ claims of forming the government, Thakur dismissed them as old habits of making promises that are not fulfilled. He pointed to the unfulfilled promises made by Rahul Gandhi five years ago in Rajasthan and asserted that the BJP would emerge victorious in forming the government.

Anurag Thakur, who visited Rajasthan to attend a program in Ajmer, highlighted the significance of factors influencing voting patterns. According to an analysis by Today’s Chanakya based on its voter survey, ‘development’ played a crucial role for 37 percent of respondents in Rajasthan, while ‘political party and candidate’ held significance for 28 percent.

The survey provided a breakdown of support for political parties among various communities in Rajasthan. For instance, Congress+ garnered 32 percent support from the Jat community, while the BJP received 38 percent. Among SC communities, Congress received 58 percent support, compared to 31 percent for the BJP. Similar breakdowns were provided for other communities, highlighting the diverse voting patterns in the state.

As the anticipation builds, the results of the Rajasthan Assembly elections are scheduled to be declared on December 3. The political landscape in the state will soon unfold, determining the course of governance for the coming term.
