Bhaderwah, Dec 01:-In view of frequent natural calamities and repeated road accidents in Doda district, Health Department in collaboration with HDFC BANK Bhaderwah organized Blood Donation camp among multiple events in Bhaderwah under Ayushman Bhav campaign on Friday.
The events was organised at SDH Bhaderwah, where CMO Doda Dr Hameed Zarger was the chief guest, while BMO Bhaderwah Mohd Ashraf Kuchay was the guest of honor.
Branch Maneger Bhaderwah Nisar Batt and WBO Unit Head Amir Hamdani presideed over the event.
Prominent among those who were present during the mega event including Dr Touseef Malik, Dr Sandeep, Blood Bank Staff, BM Nisar Batt, BBM Mansoor Shah, Raja R Jamal (TW Deptt), Muthair Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed, Ibaad-ur-Rehman and others.
A total of 15 units of blood were collected from as many donors including HDFC BANK staff, CRPF jawans and locals.
Beside Blood Donation camp, other 3 events were also held including World Aids Day, Multi-Specialty Free Screening Camp and Disability Camp in SDH Bhaderwah. On the occasion BMO Bhaderwah also administered Pledge to all participants to fight against HIV. The day is observed globally to create awareness among the students and the public to unite in the fight against HIV and also to express solidarity for the people living with HIV.
The Mega event started with educational and motivational lecture by Dr Hameed Zarger CMO Doda who educated the youth about the benefits of the blood donation and cleared various myths surrounding it.
“It is heartwarming and encouraging to see the overwhelming response of the youth and CRPF jawans came in large numbers for their turn to donate blood,” said Branch Manager, Nisar Batt. “We are very thankful to Health authorities for their cooperation,” WBO Unit Head Amir Hamdani said.
