Jammu Police Solve Teenager’s Murder, Apprehend Suspect

Jammu, Nov 30: In a noteworthy development, the Jammu Police successfully solved the murder case of a teenager and apprehended a suspect. The breakthrough came after Parhald Singh filed a complaint with the Police Control Room, reporting the kidnapping of his 19-year-old son, Raghav Jamwal, also known as Raghu.

According to the police, the victim had allegedly been abducted by an unknown person while attending regular computer training classes in the Janipur area. Acting swiftly, a team from Police Post Chinore and Police Station Domana initiated an investigation after learning that the victim did not attend the institute on the day of the incident.

Utilizing a combination of human and technical intelligence, the police zeroed in on the kidnapper. After rigorous efforts, the accused, identified as Satinder Kumar, 23, a resident of Main Bazar Kishtwar, was traced to his rented accommodation in Patoli. During the intervention, the police recovered the mobile phone used by Kumar for making ransom calls.

The police disclosed that, based on Kumar’s confession, the body of the deceased, Raghav Jamwal, was recovered from a forest area adjoining Raipur Khari-Jagti link road. Kumar admitted to committing the crime, stating that he fatally struck the victim with a stone on his head.

Following necessary legal procedures, the body was transported to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for post-mortem. The investigation into the case is ongoing, supervised by Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu, Dr. Vinod Kumar.
