PM Modi Takes Flight on Tejas Aircraft, Describes Experience as Incredibly Enriching

Bengaluru, Nov 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to the skies on Friday, embarking on a Tejas aircraft sortie that left him impressed with the nation’s indigenous capabilities. Sharing the experience on social media platform X, PM Modi declared, “Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas.” He expressed how the enriching experience had significantly boosted his confidence in India’s indigenous capabilities, instilling a renewed sense of pride and optimism about the country’s national potential. Modi, who visited Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited earlier in the day to assess ongoing work, praised the Indian Air Force, DRDO, HAL, and all Indians for their hard work, dedication, and self-reliance in the field. The Prime Minister emphasized his commitment to indigenous defense production and celebrated India’s achievements in manufacturing and exporting defense products, with other countries expressing interest in acquiring the Tejas, a light combat aircraft. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had earlier highlighted India’s record-breaking defense exports, reaching Rs 15,920 crore in 2022-2023, underscoring the nation’s significant achievement in this sector.
