Srinagar, 19 November: The Jammu and Kashmir Team Red NGO under it’s “Fit November” initiative in collaboration with Woodland House School Sports Hub, held various sports activities at Woodland Sports Hub Sonwar Srinagar.
The vision of the event is “Let’s pledge to choose an active lifestyle” and how Fitness & Sports can be instrumental in warding-off Drug Menace.
The games played in this event were: Football, Box-Cricket, Arm-Wrestling, Tug-of-War, Cross-Fit, Push-Ups Competition & Pickle-Ball.
Nasir Sogami was the Chief Guest on this occasion, and Guests of honours including Tanvir Sadiq, Mir Sarwar, Waqar Khan, Ahsan Pardesi, Adv. Umar Malik and other notable guests were present.
The event was marked by various sports activities at sub junior, junior and senior level. Around 350 athletes participated in the Games to compete in different fitness training categories.
In the concluding ceremony the Chief Patron Team Red Nasir Aslam Wani , while delivering the note of thanks said “We have to know focus on youth and involve them into healthy and fit lifestyle.
Team Red’s Fit November can help attract youth to adopt and maintain lifelong healthy behaviours and attitudes. We thank the Woodland House School especially Farid Singh & Viraj Singh, who have opened this wonderful Sports Facility for public,”he said
Chairman Saadat Nasir Wani in his adress said,” In sports, find your strength and let the pursuit of greatness be your high, and together we shall end the drug menace in our society and bring a positive change.
All the Guests addressed the participants and later the prize distribution ceremony was conducted.
