Jammu, Oct 28: The Border Security Force (BSF) has conveyed a robust objection to the Pakistan Rangers regarding the recent unprovoked firing and mortar shelling targeting forward posts and villages along the International Border in the region, according to officials. The cross-border shelling initiated by Pakistan Rangers, marking the first significant breach of the ceasefire since 2021, commenced at approximately 8 pm on Thursday in the Arnia area of the RS Pura sector, continuing for about seven hours and resulting in injuries to a BSF jawan and a civilian woman. This formal protest was registered during a commander-level meeting held at the Border Outpost Octroi in Suchetgarh, as confirmed by a BSF officer.
