NSS Unit & NCC GDC Bhaderwah under the able guidance of Principal,Prof.K.K.Sharma organized a Kalash Yatra under Meri Maati Mera Desh to the Block Development Office (BDO) Bhaderwah, as a part of Meri mati mera Desh & khadi Mahotsav.
The yatra was organised by Dr Mushtaq Ahmed, NSS Programme officer and convened by Prof N K Manhas, & Prof.Mohd.Yaseen Sirwal,convener of NSS committee.
The Kalash Yatra began with a grand procession led by the principal of the college, faculty members, and students. The Yatra was enthralled with rhythmic drumming beats and traditional dances performed by the young students. The students were dressed in traditional costumes and carried Kalash, which symbolized the spiritual connection of the people with the almighty.
The Yatra culminated at the BDO office, where the principal of the college handed over the Kalash to the Block Development Officer.
The BDO office was beautifully decorated with flowers and tri-colour flags,which added to the festive spirit.
During the event, students performed cultural plays, songs, and various dance forms that showcased the diverse cultural heritage of the region.
This event proved to be a great opportunity for the students to know about their rich cultural heritage and the importance of maintaining and cherishing it.
The faculty members of the GDC Bhaderwah expressed their sincere thanks to the BDO Bhaderwah for their support and cooperation in making this event a grand success.
This Kalash Yatra organized by the GDC Bhaderwah will be remembered for a long time for its grandeur and spiritual significance.
