Kota (RJ), Oct 4 : Tragically, a 22-year-old woman, currently pursuing a degree in humanities, has passed away after a suicide attempt just two days earlier, according to local police reports on Wednesday.
The young woman, identified as Sajni Saini, lost her life while receiving treatment at Kota’s MBS Hospital on Tuesday night, as confirmed by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ishwar Singh.
Following the post-mortem conducted on Wednesday morning, the police handed over Saini’s body to her family members. She was a resident of Parvati Colony, located under the jurisdiction of the Railway Colony Police Station.
The police have initiated a case of unnatural death under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Saini had reportedly attempted to end her life by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her room on Sunday evening. Her family members discovered her in time, and they rushed her to a hospital, where she remained under treatment for two days.
Saini’s family expressed that she had been visibly distressed about her studies and had been communicating very little with them, as stated by the ASI. No suicide note was found in Saini’s room, and the exact reason behind her tragic decision to take her own life is yet to be determined, he added.
