Discovery of Two Mortar Shells Along the International Border in J&K’s Kathua

Kathua/Jammu, September 29: Two aged mortar shells were discovered in a field adjacent to the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Friday, as reported by officials.

While ploughing his farm in Patti Meru hamlet along the IB in Hiranagar sector, a farmer stumbled upon the two live mortar shells, prompting him to immediately inform the police and the Border Security Force (BSF).

In a swift response, both the police and BSF took action and successfully recovered the two shells, ensuring their safe defusal.
