Jammu, September 27 : Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, the Northern Army commander, conducted a thorough assessment of infrastructure development projects aimed at bolstering the operational capabilities of the armed forces in Ladakh. The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GoC-In-C) made a visit to the Shyok valley in Ladakh on Tuesday, as reported by the Northern Command on X. During his visit, he examined the progress of infrastructure development projects that are poised to significantly enhance the operational and logistical capacities of the Indian Army. Furthermore, officials from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) provided a detailed briefing to the Army commander regarding the ongoing Himank and Vijayak projects, both of which are crucial for the construction of essential road infrastructure in Ladakh. The Army commander also took the opportunity to commend the unwavering dedication of the troops involved in these critical initiatives.
