September 26th : New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed that the recent passage of the women’s reservation bill in the new Parliament building marks a transformative moment for the nation. He underlined his government’s commitment to opening new opportunities for girls during an address at a Rozgar Mela, following the virtual distribution of appointment letters to more than 51,000 new government employees across various departments.

Modi also emphasized the increasing role of technology in governance, highlighting its role in reducing corruption, simplifying processes, enhancing credibility, and providing convenience. He urged the new employees to adopt a “citizens-first” approach and leverage technology to enhance governance, citing its successful application in direct benefit transfers, railway ticket bookings, and digital lockers, among other areas.

The prime minister elaborated on his government’s approach, characterized by continuous monitoring, mission-oriented execution, and widespread public participation in government initiatives, with the goal of achieving full coverage.

Modi described this era as one of historic decisions and accomplishments for India. He emphasized that the recently passed women’s reservation bill, which had been pending for three decades, will significantly empower half of the nation’s population.
