New Delhi, Sep 20 : India reported 51 new COVID-19 infections in a single day, with the tally of active cases currently at 480, according to the latest data provided by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.
The death toll from the disease now stands at 5,32,031, with a case fatality rate of 1.18 percent, as per the data updated at 8 am.
The country’s total COVID-19 case count has reached 4.49 crore (4,49,98,298). Meanwhile, the number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the virus has risen to 4,44,65,783, with a national recovery rate of 98.81 percent, as indicated on the health ministry’s website.
Additionally, the data shows that a total of 220.67 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country to date.
