Srinagar, September 15 : The meteorological department has predicted a continuation of “hot and dry” weather in Jammu and Kashmir for the coming week. A meteorological department official reported that there had been light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in scattered areas of J&K.
The official informed GNS, “Apart from a brief morning rain, Jammu and Kashmir are likely to experience hot and dry weather over the next 24 hours,” and added, “Daytime temperatures are expected to be 1-2°C lower than yesterday.”
Regarding the weather forecast from September 16 to 22, the official stated that it would primarily remain hot and dry, but there was a possibility of brief spells of rain at isolated to scattered locations in J&K.
He clarified, “Due to the absence of any significant Western Disturbance or Monsoon Current over J&K, there is no expectation of substantial rainfall for at least a week.”
