Jammu and Kashmir Police Close in on Two LeT Terrorists in Anantnag

SRINAGAR, September 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Police reported on Thursday that they have “surrounded” two Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists in Anantnag district, where a tragic encounter claimed the lives of three security officers the previous day.

In a solemn tribute to the unwavering courage displayed by Col Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak, and DSP Humayun Bhat, who sacrificed their lives while leading from the front during the ongoing operation, the Kashmir Zone Police shared their condolences. They further affirmed the resolve of the security forces as they continue to encircle two LET terrorists, including Uzair Khan.

The incident on Wednesday resulted in the loss of the commanding officer of 19 Rashtriya Rifles, a major-ranked officer, and a Deputy Superintendent of Police during a face-off with terrorists in the Gadole area of Kokernag in Anantnag district.
