Bhaderwah, Aug 25: With an aim to aware vehicle operators about different traffic rules followed by providing them Healthcare facilities in view of increasing eye-flu cases, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda in collaboration with Health and AYUSH Department conducted a Mega Medical Health Check-up and Eye Testing Camp followed by general Awareness Programme for Commercial Vehicle Drivers at Bhaderwah on Friday.
The event organized by ARTO Doda Rajesh Kumar at Seri Bazaar Park Bhaderwah, was inaugurated by SDPO Bhaderwah Wasim Mehmood along with Tehsildar Bhaderwah Umar Jahanzeb. Inspector MVD Robin Parihar, Dr Iftikhar Malik from AYUSH, Dr Sanjay Sharma Eye Specialist, Transport Association Doda President Tahir Hussain Shah and Naseer Mehboob YAC Chairman were also present on the occasion.

The programme was attended by members of transport unions, commercial drivers and general public. More than 70 drivers and vehicle operators participated in the camp.
The team of health department conducted a general medical Health Checkup and eye sight tests of all the Drivers/Cleaners who attended the programme. Further free tests of BP and Sugar were also conducted followed by free medicines were distributed among Drivers/Cleaners by the AYUSH Department.

Earlier, ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta welcomed the participants in the Medical Health Checkup and Eye Testing Camp and thanked Health Deptt, AYUSH Department, Traffic Police & Transport Associations for their cooperation in organizing the mega Camp.
He expressed his gratitude to the Drivers for their greater participation and told them that due to the over business, the drivers are not able to look after their Health and the basic purpose of the camp is to facilitate them.
He also briefed about the Road Safety Parameters to be followed by the Drivers and imparted awareness about the road safety tips and laws. He stressed upon the drivers to refrain from any type of Drugs/intoxicant substances for their own safety and Safety of the passengers.
Drivers expressed their gratitude to MVD Department for taking this initiative for vehicle operators.
