Bhaderwah, Aug 23: To remember famous Bhaderwahi poets and to promote local languages, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) in collaboration with Amazing Bhaderwah Tourism Association (ABTA) organised Bhaderwahi Mushairua/ Kavi Goshti and Musical concert in rememberence of famous Bhaderwahi poets Jaan Mohd Tishna and Amar Chand Hatishi.
The mega event was organised at Hotel Thakur Villa Bhaderwah, where famous poet Talib Hussain Rind was the chief guest on the occasion. Ravi Thakur Chairman ABTA along with Cultural Officer Doda SalaudDin presided over the function.
Dozens of poets including Chanderkant Amandeep, Harish Kumar Manni, Bhag Singh Manhas, Bashir Ahmed Mubarki, Mohd Sharief Anjum, Ashiq Ali and others participated in the Mushaira/Kavi Ghoshti. While famous singers Abid Bashir Bhaderwahi, Anees Bhaderwahi and others enthralled public with their performances in musical concert.
Superintendent District Jail Bhaderwah Mushtaq Ahmed Malla, SDPO Bhaderwah Wasim Mehmood and SHO Jatinder Singh Rakwal were special invitee on the occasion. While veteran political leader Mast Nath Yogi, Mohd Ashraf Goni, Tanveer Ahmed Dev and others were also present on the occasion. Grandson of famous poet Jan Mohd Tishna, Basharat Shapoo was also present on the occasion.
Speakers said that the aim to organize this event is to remember our famous Bhaderwahi poets Jaan Mohd Tishna and Amar Chand Hatishi, who worked tirelessly to uplift the Bhaderwahi language with their poetries.
They also appealed youth to be connected with their mother tongue Bhaderwahi and promote it.
