Minibus overturn Udhampur accident
Udhampur district witnessed a sudden turn of events as a minibus, transporting pilgrims on the revered Machail Mata yatra, overturned on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The accident occurred in the Batal Ballian area of the district, causing injuries to 13 individuals, among them 10 women. The incident took place during the night of Wednesday, adding a tragic chapter to the ongoing pilgrimage.
The minibus, laden with devotees from the Paddar belt of Kishtwar district, was en route to Jammu when the unfortunate accident transpired. The mishap left several pilgrims with injuries of varying degrees. The gravity of the situation prompted the transfer of two of the injured individuals to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Jammu for specialized treatment.
