In a somber culmination of events, a Ramban court has handed down a life imprisonment sentence to a man who poisoned his two-year-old son to death around a decade ago in Banihal. The District and Sessions Judge, R.S. Jasrotia, declared the verdict, finding Mohd Shafi guilty of the murder of his son, Mohd Suleman. The court’s ruling determined that the accused would endure life imprisonment and be fined Rs 10,000. In the event of non-payment, the verdict mandated an additional six months of rigorous imprisonment for Mohd Shafi.
