The Lieutenant Governor also celebrated the remarkable increase in tourist footfall, with 1.27 crore visitors, including foreigners, exploring the enchanting landscapes of the Union Territory. He noted a notable 59% rise in foreign tourist arrivals, attributing part of this success to the impactful G20 summit held in Srinagar. This international platform projected J&K as a destination of serenity and natural beauty, fostering positive perceptions worldwide.

LG Sinha reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to creating a secure and serene environment for every citizen of J&K, promoting a life of choice and freedom without coercion. He pointed to tangible signs of normalcy and peace returning to the region, such as the reinstatement of Muharram processions through traditional routes after a 34-year hiatus and the reopening of cinemas and theaters.
