New Delhi, Aug 14: Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s dedication to fostering patriotism and unity reverberated as he took part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement by hoisting the tricolour at his official residence in New Delhi. In a poignant display of national pride, Shah’s action resonated with the aspirations of the initiative, which seeks to illuminate every home with the vibrant hues of the national flag.
Building on this fervor, Shah had previously launched a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, underscoring his commitment to the cause. “It’s been 75 years of Independence; we cannot die for the country since it has already gained independence, but no one can stop us from living for the country,” Shah exclaimed as he flagged off the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign. These words encapsulate the essence of the initiative, emphasizing the significance of living for the nation’s ideals.
Recalling Independence Day in 2022, Shah reminisced, “There was no house that didn’t hoist a tricolour on August 15, 2022. When a tricolour is hoisted at every house, then the entire nation will be Tirangamay.” This statement underscores the movement’s mission to unite every household under the banner of national pride and unity.
From August 13 to 15, the Central government is commemorating the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This initiative aims to enhance the sense of patriotism among citizens, fostering collective participation and heightened Jan Bhagidari (people’s involvement). Culture Secretary Govind Mohan highlighted the transformation of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign into a people’s movement, with energetic Tiranga rallies sweeping across the nation and witnessing enthusiastic public engagement.
As Amit Shah and countless citizens join hands in this endeavor, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement emerges as a beacon of unity and patriotism.
