Crime Branch Kashmir has taken a significant step towards ensuring the integrity of the hiring process by producing a chargesheet against an individual who allegedly submitted a fake date of birth (DOB) certificate while applying for a job at Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC), Srinagar. The accused, identified as Mohammad Sidiq Qazi, is now facing legal consequences for his actions.
According to the statement released by the Crime Branch Kashmir, a complaint was lodged by concerned employees of RSGC, claiming that Mohammad Sidiq Qazi, who currently serves as a barman at the golf course, had provided false information regarding his age at the time of his initial appointment. The investigation was initiated in 2022 under Case FIR No. 57/2022.
After a thorough inquiry, it was revealed that Qazi had indeed submitted a counterfeit DOB certificate during his job application, which allowed him to unlawfully continue his service beyond the appropriate age of superannuation. This deceptive act not only compromised the fairness of the employment process but also raised questions about the transparency and credibility of the hiring system.
Consequently, the Crime Branch Kashmir has presented a chargesheet against Mohammad Sidiq Qazi in the court of Judge Small Causes, Srinagar. The chargesheet cites violations under Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Ranbir Penal Code, pertaining to fraud and forgery. This legal action underscores the commitment of the authorities to uphold the principles of justice and maintain the integrity of public service recruitment.
The case serves as a reminder that dishonest practices during job applications can have severe ramifications and reinforces the significance of adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of professional life. As the judicial process unfolds, the outcome of this case is expected to send a strong message about the zero-tolerance approach towards such fraudulent activities within the employment sector.
