Jammu witnessed a significant moment as Manisha Sharma took over as the President of Inner Wheel Club (IWC) Jammu District 307. The installation ceremony, held at Amar Singh Club, marked the beginning of a new chapter in the club’s commitment to humanitarian service and community development.
The event commenced with Dr. Santosh Gupta, the previous District Chairman (pDc) of the club, as the Chief Guest, and Preeti Khajuria as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Dushant Chowdhary and his wife were also present on this auspicious occasion.
During the ceremony, Dr. Santosh Gupta honored Manisha Sharma for her new role as President. Manisha introduced her newly appointed team members, recognizing their contributions to the club’s endeavors. Aart Rajinder was appointed Secretary, Shefali Gupta as Treasurer, Archana Nanda as International Service Organiser (ISO), and Vaishali Goel as Editor.
In her speech, the outgoing President, Jyoti Vaid, reflected on the club’s achievements during her tenure. The new President, Manisha Sharma, shared her vision for the future, guided by the instructions of the International President and Association President for “Shine-a-Light” and “Trail Blazer” projects.
“I am determined to work with utmost zeal and dedication to serve humanity, with the cooperation of my team and senior members,” Manisha Sharma stated.
The esteemed guests, including Dr. Santosh Gupta pDc, Ms. Preeti Khajuria, and Dr. Dhushant, extended their best wishes to the new President and her team, envisioning greater heights for the club.
The ceremony was also marked by honoring all the guests, new and old club members, and their families with Inner Wheel banding momentum and planters. The club announced various projects for the day, including the distribution of planters adorned with the IWC logo to promote a greener environment. Additionally, they distributed cloth bags made from recycled materials to vendors, contributing to the initiative to reduce plastic usage. A noble gesture of donating a cycle to a girl child added a heartwarming touch to the occasion.
The event concluded with Archana Nanda delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the installation ceremony. As Manisha Sharma assumes the role of President, the Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of Jammu looks forward to making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve and the communities they support.
