Jammu,July 29:In the early hours of Saturday, a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Fortunately, there were no reports of any damage caused by the explosion, according to officials.

The incident occurred around 4 am in Terwan village’s Khokhri post of the Degwar area. Incessant rains added to the situation, but despite the unfavorable weather conditions, Army troops swiftly conducted a thorough search of the area following the explosion. However, no further traces of explosives or damage were found during the search.

The forward areas along the Line of Control are equipped with landmines as part of an anti-infiltration obstacle system.
