Udhampur, July 28: Two individuals suffered injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at a welding workshop located in the Sangoor area of Udhampur district on Friday. The victims have been identified as Rajinder Kumar from Panchari and Gugi Kumar from Panjgrain. The incident occurred this morning while the two men were engrossed in welding activities at the workshop. The explosion resulted from a gas cylinder that was being used during their welding work, causing burn injuries to both individuals.
Upon the occurrence, they were promptly transported to the Associated Government Medical Hospital in Udhampur, where they are currently receiving medical attention. As of now, the condition of both Rajinder Kumar and Gugi Kumar is reported to be stable.
The authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, and the police have registered a case to determine the cause of the gas cylinder blast.
