Jammu Tawi, July 26 : On Tuesday, the 23rd batch of 3025 pilgrims commenced their sacred journey to the Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine in the South Kashmir Himalayas, resonating with the fervent chants of ‘Bam Bam Bhole.’ The pilgrims set off from the Bhagwati Nagar Base camp here, embarking on their spiritual expedition.

The convoy consisted of 119 vehicles, carrying a group of 1865 pilgrims to Pahalgam. Among them were 1535 males, 275 females, two children, 48 sadhus, and five sadhvis. Additionally, 1160 pilgrims, comprising 735 males, 421 females, and two children, commenced their yatra for Baltal, accompanied by a convoy of 38 vehicles. Stringent security arrangements were in place to ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims throughout their journey.

The annual Amarnath Yatra, which began on July 1, is scheduled to conclude on August 31, offering devotees a significant opportunity for spiritual fulfillment and reverence.
