Gold Slides Rs 100, Silver Witnesses Rs 200 Decline

New Delhi, Jul 24 – Gold prices experienced a decline of Rs 100, settling at Rs 60,350 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday, influenced by weak global cues, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous trading session, the precious metal had concluded at Rs 60,450 per 10 grams. Similarly, silver also witnessed a dip of Rs 200, reaching Rs 77,000 per kilogram.

Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities, noted that spot gold prices in the Delhi markets were trading at Rs 60,350/10 grams, marking a decrease of Rs 100 per 10 grams. Internationally, gold and silver both traded lower at USD 1,963 per ounce and USD 24.60 per ounce, respectively.

Gandhi highlighted that gold prices showed a choppy range with thin volume as investors exercised caution ahead of a crucial Federal Reserve meeting scheduled for Wednesday.
