Temperature Soars as Light Rain Forecasted in Scattered Areas of Jammu and Kashmir

J&K, July 14 : Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, experienced an increase in minimum temperature, reaching 20.7°C, which was 2.6°C below normal. The meteorological department has predicted mainly dry weather with intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers at scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir until July 18. There is also a possibility of intermittent rain between July 19 and 25, although no major rainfall is expected until July 25.

Other regions in the area recorded varying temperatures. Qazigund, the gateway town of the Kashmir Valley, saw a low of 17.2°C, slightly above normal. Pahalgam, the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, recorded a low of 12.7°C, which was above normal. Kupwara, Kokernag, Gulmarg, Jammu, and other areas also experienced temperature fluctuations.

While the temperatures rise and intermittent rain is expected, the weather conditions remain favorable for the region.
