International Daily Rising School, Jammu organised its first grand BOOK LAUNCH event on 8th July 2023, to celebrate the success of its 27 Budding Authors.The purpose of this event was to show appreciation and express pride in our students who have had the courage and zeal to venture into the unknown, who have left their fears behind and turned their passion for the written word into a book.The Book Launch gave our children a space where they showcased and shared their creative minds and expressed themselves with authenticity and purpose. They shared their journey of writing a book and read excerpts from their book for the audience.
They have become a role model for other students who wish to attain success and happiness. They have shown that nothing is impossible and age is not a bar to achieve anything.It was a moment of pride for the whole International Daily Rising School family and we aspire to keep on touching new heights as young students create higher benchmarks.
Around 30 books have been written by 27 budding writers of the International Daily Rising School, Jammu, from Class 3to10, who have exhibited their writing talent and let out their thoughts in interesting and intriguing stories. The book writing was done in just 15 days’ time, making it a record in itself. Students had registered on 30th April 2023 and the book writing was done from 1st May 2023 to 15th May 2023. Between 16th to 30th May 2023 the books were submitted, printed and bought from Bribook.com and in some special cases they may be available at amazon.in. The enthusiasm was quite evident with the limited time taken by students to put forth their concepts and story elements in these well-crafted books.
Apart from the accolades and appreciations from the School and BriBooks, the blossoming authors were also felicitated by OMG Book of Records in this event on 8th July 2023.In this event International Handwriting Olympiad Foundation form Mumbai also launched, the International Handwriting Olympiad, which madethe International Daily Rising School, Jammu, the first school in Jammu to initiate it.
The event began by invoking the blessings of God by lighting the lamp. The Chief Guest Mr Abhishek Abrol,(JKAS); the Guest of Honour Ms Punika (TehsildarBahu); our Special Guest Prof.Dr. Dinesh Gupta(CEO & Founder of OMG Foundation) and the Parents were welcomed by the Principal, Dr Atul Hans. He emphasized the importance of story writing as a powerful art and lauded the efforts of the students who have taken a tiny step into the world of creative writing.He also thanked Ms KhushbooSondhi, Mentor of the Event,for her contribution in book writing and Release Event.
Ms Supinder Kaur, Chairperson,International Daily Rising School, Jammu,said, “The event was not only a realisation of the dreams of our students but it was the fulfilment of the collective aspirations of the school and students by taking a giant step into the world of writing.”
Ms Raghav Gupta, MD, International Daily Rising School, Jammu, said that book writing has encouraged students to dream and cultivate a passion which would keep them afloat in this era of competition.
The event culminated with the Vote of Thanks extended by Ms Ruchi Manhas, Vice Principal, who congratulated all the young authors of International Daily Rising School, Jammu and their parents for their hard work and perseverance!
