New Delhi, July 9: A fourth-year B.Tech student, identified as Ayush (20), allegedly died by suicide in his hostel room at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. The incident occurred on Saturday around midnight, according to the police.
Ayush, a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, hanged himself in his Udayagiri hostel. He was in his final year of study at IIT. The police are currently investigating the incident to ascertain the reason behind the suicide.
Authorities at IIT Delhi are expected to cooperate with the police in their investigation.
