Poonch, July 7 – The Mughal Road, which connects Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, has been closed due to a landslide on Friday, according to officials.

The landslide occurred near Ratta Chamb in the mountainous district, triggered by heavy rains. Immediate measures have been taken to deploy personnel and machinery to clear the road.

DySP Police Surankote, Hamid Ali Bandey, confirmed that efforts are currently underway to reopen the road and restore normal traffic flow.
