New Delhi, June 7: According to updated data from the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 214 new coronavirus infections, resulting in a decrease in active Covid cases from 3,001 to 2,831. No new fatalities were reported, and the death toll remains at 5,31,884 as of 8 am.
The total Covid case tally in the country stands at 4.49 crore (4,49,92,094). Active cases now account for only 0.01 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.81 percent, as stated by the ministry.
The number of individuals who have recovered from the disease has surged to 4,44,57,379, with a case fatality rate of 1.18 percent. The ministry’s website reports that a total of 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
