India’s Prime Minister Modi and Nepal’s PM Pushpa Dahal Engage in Productive Bilateral Discussions at Hyderabad House

New Delhi: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India and Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held significant bilateral discussions at Hyderabad House. The meeting aimed to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

The Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, tweeted a warm welcome message as PM Modi greeted ‘Prachanda’ upon his arrival at Hyderabad House. The talks between the two leaders encompassed a wide range of issues, reflecting the multifaceted relationship between India and Nepal.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Pushpa Dahal paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat in New Delhi, expressing his reverence for the father of the Indian nation. This visit holds great significance as it marks Prime Minister Dahal’s first overseas trip since assuming office in December last year.

During his visit to India, Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to visit Ujjain and Indore, in addition to his official engagements. This visit is expected to further strengthen the close and unique relationship between India and Nepal, building upon the successes achieved during previous high-level visits.

The trip has been hailed as a goodwill visit by the Nepal ambassador to India, Shankar P. Sharma, who expressed confidence that it will elevate the bilateral relations between Nepal and India to new heights.

Prime Minister Pushpa Dahal’s visit includes meetings with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The discussions are expected to impart renewed momentum to the bilateral partnership and foster stronger ties between the two nations.”
