New Delhi, June 1: In a recent development, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders have been reduced by Rs 83.50, bringing the cost down to Rs 1,773 per 19 kg unit. This price revision is effective immediately. However, there have been no changes in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
Oil marketing companies typically revise LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) prices on the first day of each month. The prices of domestic cooking gas vary across states due to variations in local taxes.
Last month, petroleum and oil marketing companies had lowered the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 171.50. In April, there was a reduction of Rs 91.50 per unit.
Earlier this year, on March 1, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were raised by Rs 350.50 per unit, while domestic LPG cylinders saw an increase of Rs 50 per unit.
The previous reduction in commercial cylinder prices occurred on September 1 last year, amounting to Rs 91.50. On August 1, 2022, the prices were reduced by Rs 36.
Before that, on July 6, there was a decrease of Rs 8.5 per unit for the 19-kilogram commercial cylinders.
