Says religious conversion leads to separatism and separates one from roots
Arnia: Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K Chief Pt Rajesh Kesri today said that HSS Activists will raise awareness about Hindu religion and culture in order to stop groups and agencies working for the conversion of Hindus. This was stated by Kesri while interacting with villagers of Madola after complaints of religious conversions in border villages by tricking and luring them with money.Cautioning that there are various organizations and agencies that are involved in conversion of Hindus to other religions, Kesri asked volunteers to spread awareness about their own religion and culture and strongly protest those involved in such anti-national activities.

Stressing on development of villages which are the base of the economy and culture, Kesri said that focus should be to develop villages across the country. He also emphasized on the importance of cows, calling for a “cow-centred” village economy. Several attempts have been going on since long to convert Hindus into other religions but failed to gain anything as our roots remained strong thanks to the efforts of our ancestors, Kesri said. So, the society should understand that deceit. We have to strengthen the faith,” he said. Deceptive people raise some questions about religion to waver the faith, he said, adding, “Our society never faced such people earlier so people get skeptical. We have to remove this weakness, added Kesri
There have been many incidents in recent days that have drawn attention towards the issue of religious conversion in border areas using foreign money and anti-India propaganda by organizations and their interference in our internal affairs. Religious conversion leads to separatism. Conversion separates one from the roots. Hence, we should strive to stop religious conversion,” Kesri said.”If we want India to remain as India, we have to be what we are or else India will not remain India. Hence, we have to ensure that ‘Dharma’ should pervade all over,” he added.
Kesri emphasized upon focusing on Indian culture such as respecting the elders and treating women with dignity.”Modern way of teaching imparts education but it distances from culture. If we have to strengthen culture and commitment, then we have to associate ourselves with some form of worshipping, which the seers alone can do,” Kesri said.Prominent among those present on the occasion include Balveer Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Labba Baba, Sanjeev Kumar, Darshana Devi, Jyoti Devi, Rajni Devi, Ujagar Singh, Lata Singh.
