District Administration Kathua Organizes LG’s Special Governance Camps for West Pakistani Refugees of 1947 in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir, May 1 : The District Administration Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir is organizing LG’s Special Governance Camps for West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) of 1947 starting today until the 4th of this month. These camps will be held in various areas of the district including Kathua, Nagri-Parole, Marheen and Hiranagar. The objective of these camps is to provide essential services to the WPRs such as healthcare, education, documentation and livelihood support. The WPR community will also get a chance to interact with government officials and learn about the welfare schemes and programs available for them. The camps will focus on skill development, social assistance, self-employment, financial inclusion, sports, and studies guidance. The District Administration has urged the West Pakistani community residing in the district to attend the LG’s Special Governance Camp and take advantage of the services offered during the event. The camps will be held at various locations such as Airwan area for Nagri-Parole tehsil, Banquet Hall in Haria Chak for Tehsil Marheen, Office Building of Patwar Halqa near District Employment & Counselling Centre Kathua for Tehsil Kathua, and Town Hall Hiranagar for Tehsil Hiranagar.
