NEW DELHI, Apr 10 : India recorded 5,880 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, bringing the country’s active tally to 35,199, according to data from the health ministry. The death toll increased by 14 in the past 24 hours, reaching a total of 53,09,79 deaths, with a fatality rate of 1.19%. On Sunday, the country reported 5,357 cases.
However, India’s recovery rate continues to improve, with 44,196,318 people having recuperated so far. The recovery rate now stands at 98.74%, indicating a positive trend in the fight against the pandemic.
