SRINAGAR, Apr 5: Kashmir Divisional Commissioner V.K. Bidhuri has reassured the public that there is no need to panic as the COVID-19 situation in the region is under control. Speaking to reporters, Bidhuri stated that the administration has taken all necessary steps to contain the spread of the virus.
According to Bidhuri, the number of COVID-19 cases in the region has decreased significantly in recent weeks. He attributed the decrease to the efforts of healthcare workers and the cooperation of the public in following COVID-19 protocols.
Bidhuri also emphasized the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19, urging the public to come forward and get vaccinated at the earliest. He assured the public that adequate vaccine doses are available in the region.
The Divisional Commissioner’s remarks come as the region, like much of India, is grappling with a surge in COVID-19 cases. However, Bidhuri’s reassurance may go a long way in calming the nerves of the public and instilling confidence in the administration’s ability to handle the situation.
