Jammu & Kashmir, March 13 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah has welcomed Iran-Saudi diplomatic relations, hoping the rapprochement between the two countries will benefit fostering unity among Muslims.
Welcoming the move, Dr Abdullah said, “Restoration of ties and reopening of diplomatic missions between the two countries is a welcome step that will have wide-ranging implications across the Muslim world.”
“I hope it acts as harbinger of greater cooperation in the Islamic world in particular and the world community in general. This dialing down of tensions and de-escalation will not just benefit the Gulf region, but the world at large,” he said.
