Jammu : Congress Seva Dal President Vijay Sharma Babbi has said that due to the huge increase in the prices of cooking gas, petrol, diesel, edible oil and food items, the food available to the common man has reduced. The government is continuously increasing the prices of essential commodities and has broken the back of the poor by increasing the price of cooking gas cylinders again. On one hand this government talks about the welfare of the poor and on the other hand it snatches the morsel from the poor.
Before coming to power, the government had made tall claims of reducing inflation, but after coming to power, it did exactly the opposite. Within 9 years of the BJP government, the prices of all commodities have almost doubled. The income of the common man is the same but the expenses have increased manifold. Today inflation has reached the seventh sky and the government is not even an iota concerned about the people. If this condition continues, the poor man will be forced to die of hunger. The government should stop profiting from industrialist friends and pay some attention to the poor people of the country.
