National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) Chief Rajesh Gupta on Wednesday claimed that people of J&K are not happy with BJP anti-people actions and policies in J&K. Gupta dared the BJP to announce Assembly elections if it was so confident of its victory claiming all-round development in J&K. claimed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were fed up with the “blush and failures” of the BJP Govt and are suffering on all counts. He alleged that the BJP had gained power after “betrayal of the mandate” and its experiments cost too much to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who lost their identity as a state besides all safeguards to their land and jobs. “The people will not spare BJP for its total failure and arbitrary and undemocratic decisions besides imposing heavy taxes, price hike and economic crisis.
The claims of the BJP of forming next government in J&K aimed at misleading the public about the party’s popularity,” he remarked. He said the NDPI would not allow murder of democracy by the BJP which was desperate to register victory, be it by hook or crook. NDPI leader claimed that all sections of society were suffering under BJP rule as promises made to them have turned out to be hollow. Launching attack on BJP Government, Rajesh Gupta alleged that the BJP government has left no stone unturned to destroy democratic institutions. Lashing out at BJP, Gupta said that selection lists issued during BJP rule are totally biased as only 10 percent jobs have been provided to Jammu youth. BJP has become mute spectator on the issue of discrimination with Jammu.
He said that the general publics including traders, businessmen, farmers, unemployed, families of the martyrs, border residents besides daily wagers, casual workers, contractual lecturers, etc. were bearing the brunt of discrimination in all spheres. He alleged that the present BJP government is directionless due to absence of any common point in their respective agenda. BJP government has given rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion Gupta alleged. He said the J&K was passing through the “worst ever misrule. There is total policy paralysis due to divergent vested political interests in J&K”, he claimed.
Gupta observed that BJP has nothing to offer to the people of J&K except divert their attention through their divisive and diversionary mode of politics. He asked the people to reject BJP and the opportunistic forces dancing to the tune of the party for the sake of individual favor or lust of power. “I want to tell them that the voters of J&K are politically mature and cannot be misled by false slogans and promises”, he added. NDPI president said that system of Governance has completely collapsed in J&K and the present regime was brazenly indulging in deceitful tactics by ignoring the real issue of governance. “The issue of governance has been pushed to the backburner and those who are at the helm of the affairs have been shamelessly indulging into nepotism and their misdeeds have badly shaken peoples’ faith in the system”, he said. “The BJP has nothing to show as its achievement”, he observed and added subverting democratic institutions are only noticeable achievements of this Government.
