Indian Army organises Mushroom Farming training for locals at Rajpura

Jammu, FEBRUARY 14: Indian Army Unit at Malpur, in collaboration with agriculture department, started a new initiative for empowering locals by promoting cash crops in the region.

The Indian Army today conducted a demonstration session about mushroom farming in coordination with the Agriculture Department which was attended by the dozens of needy people of Rajpura Panchayat of Block Marh in Jammu district. The event aimed at promoting cash farming in remote areas and providing financial independence to the beneficiaries.

Demonstration session endeavored teaching about scientific techniques of farming to get maximum output. The expert professionals from the Agriculture department including Sanjay Dhar MDO and Nirmal Parkash Sharma SDAO Marh gave demonstrations to the participants. The participants were also given raw material for learning and subsequently for farming.

The participants were excited and expressed their gratitude towards the government and Indian Army for the nobel initiative. Their visible enthusiasm and zeal to undertake this event assured a progressive mindset in the community. Sarpanch Neena Devi, Ex Sarpanch Dhanter Singh, Panch Amreek Singh, Lambardar Uttam Singh, Naib Sarpanch Sanjay Sharma etc were also present during the training camp.
