Jammu: A seminar on ” World Cancer Day” was held at Govt Hospital Gandhinagar- Jammu under the supervision of Dr Saleem ur Rehman- Director Health Services- Jammu.
Key speakers included Dr Rajiv Gupta – Professor & Medical Oncologist- State Cancer Institute- Jammu, Dr Meenakshi Gupta, Physician, Dr Ravindra – DNB- PG – Medicine & Dr Fakhira Zernain – DNB-PG – Gynae & Obstetrics.
Topics included overview of World cancer day , General Oncology, Bronchogenic Carcinoma & CA Cervix & role of HPV vaccinatio
n.It was attended by Consultants, Doctors , DNB residents , Paramedical staff & students of ANMT school participating in Poster colour competition. Winner of the competition- Ms Riya Gupta was given a cash prize.
Dr Rajiv Gupta – announced the detailed facilities & services to be provided by the state Cancer Institute which was inaugurated today by Worthy Secretary- Health & Medical Education- Sh.Bhupinder Kumar.
