World Osteoporosis Week organized in Govt Medical College and Associated Hospital Jammu. The event was organized by dept of orthopedics GMC Jammu. The event held at boys hostel GMC Jammu. Dr. Shashi Sudan Sharma Principal and Dean GMCH JAMMU inaugurated the event, Dr Sanjeev Gupta Head of Department of Orthopaedics. Dr Bias Dev Associate Professor Department of Orthopaedics, Dr Rakesh Behal Warden of Boys Hostel and Dr Kailash Thakur Asst. Professor Deptt. of General surgery were present at the inaugural . A Bone Mineral Density assessment camp was organized and students were made aware regarding peak bone mass. Dr. Bias Dev delivered a talk on osteoporosis, its diagnosis prevention treatment and importance of peak bone mass in preventing osteoporosis.
