Vinayak Inst. Nursing and Paramedical Sciences and People’s Hut Foundation Jointly organized “Free Medical and Orthopaedic camp’ at Surgal Devta Mandir, Akalpur,Jammu in collaboration with Dept of Ayush,UT of J&K and KIRF

Jammu: A free medical and orthopaedic camp was organised by Vinayak Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Science with People’s Hut Foundation under Mobile Health Clinic Program of People’s Hut Foundation in Akalpur, Jammu, aiming to benefit 4 villages in the vicinity and was organised with an aim to provide free healthcare to the vulnerable and most deserving of rural population. This particular camp was special since it targeted some of the most ignored and socially neglected communities residing in far flung regions where healthcare facilities are non-existent.

Organizer of the camp Dr. Rohit Koul and Dr. Amardeep said, “Such kind of medical health check-up camps for needy citizens will be organized periodically at various locations in Jammu.

The facilities provided at the camp included free consultations by specialists in the field of mental health, anxiety, hypertension, cardiology, ENT, orthopaedic, gynaecology and General physician.

In addition to this there were facilities like ECG, sugar testing, oxygen level testing and special menstrual health and hygiene kits were distributed amongst women.
The one day medical camp witnessed an approximate footfall of 467 persons.

Social Activists S. Jagjivin Singh, Sh. Chamel Singh and Parveen Chowdhary Team Member of PHF and VINPS added, Healthcare nowadays is not affordable by everyone living in the society and underprivileged people are deprived of this basic right. We believe access to good healthcare is a basic right of every individual and these initiatives’ are the real efforts towards serving mankind.

The beneficiaries from this camp were thankful to Vinayak Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences and People’s Hut Foundation NGO for supporting their village which is otherwise quite neglected, with this camp The organisers of the medical camp wish to thank the Directortae of Ayush, J&K UT and specially the District Ayush Officer Jammu Dr. Suresh Sharma and Medical Camp Incharge Dr. Dheeraj Raina (Medical Officer) along with Dr. Imran and Dr. Hancy Sharma from KIRF for providing all the support to organise this in this area serving the rural communities.
