NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY INDIAN (NDPI)

DAP “Vinaashakaale Vipareeta budhhi” says NDPI chief
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) chief Rajesh Gupta on Tuesday said the doors of his party are open for secular-minded people and closed for those with a communal mindset.
He termed the Democratic Azad Party headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad branch of the BJP and claimed it is “collapsing under its own weight”.
NDPI leader said, (Vinaasha kaale Vipareeta budhhi) “when the time of one’s destruction comes, his or her mind thinks the opposite of what it should”.
Gupta also extended support to the Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees and Jammu-based reserved category staffers who are on protest strike here since May demanding relocation outside the Valley following targeted killings by terrorists. “The Democratic Azad Party headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad is a branch of the BJP but those who have gone there from the Congress are secular-minded people. NDPI president said the voters were swayed by pro-Jammu rhetoric and several glamorous slogans given by the saffron leadership to woo the masses. The gullibility of the Dogras was exploited to the full to attain the high seats of power. The spell bound people blindly reposed their faith in the BJP giving it a landslide victory from Jammu region in assembly seats as well as the parliamentary elections, he said. “Not only that, the people of the region continued to vote heavily in favour of BJP in the municipal and DDC elections as well under the hope and belief that BJP leadership would fulfill its promises sooner than later. The situation as of now has invariably grown from bad to worse under central BJP dispensation with the Jammu region having been deprived of even its nominal share in the recent past,” said Gupta.
The Jammu and Kashmir NDPI chief accused the BJP of “using the plight of Kashmiri pandits across the country to garner votes”. He added “Instead of sympathizing with them and resolving their issues, the government is harassing them and threatening to stop their salaries.“While in opposition, the BJP always forcefully raised the issue of security of Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities in Kashmir. But since 2014 they did nothing and are only shedding crocodile tears for them,” Gupta claimed.NDPI leader said the party workers will not hesitate to join the migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees in their protest.
