Describing Nehru as a great statesman, visionary personality and a great freedom fighter, Vijay Sharma said that when the country became independent, not even a single needle was made here. In such difficult times, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru united the entire country and built a strong nation. Due to the visionary thinking of Pandit Nehru, today India is one of the leading countries of the world. He said that Congress believes in promoting brotherhood and communal harmony in the country. People of all religions are equal in the ideology of Congress. He said that if India is one of the leading countries of the world today, then the credit goes to great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and them. Dara Singh, Parvez Wani and other members of Congress Seva Dal were present on this occasion.
